I have MediaPortal running okay with the exception of one problem. When playing a film with 5.1 audio the dialogue is low compared to the non-dialogue audio. I can turn up the volume but this makes the background audio too loud.

The audio is being output on my TV through the HDMI cable.

I have set the Mixer options in FFD Show with the speaker configuration : 2/0/0 Stereo. This improved things a little.

Is there anything else I can do to increase the dialogue volume on 5.1 sources.

    MediaPortal Version: 1.1.2
    MediaPortal Skin: StreamedMP 1.4.10.2499
    Windows Version: Windows 7 Ultimate
    CPU Type: ATOM Dual Core
    HDD: Windows Home Server
    Memory: 2GB
    Motherboard: Acer
    Video Card: ION
Sound Card AC3: Stereo to TV over HDMI
    MPEG2 Video Codec: SAF5
    MPEG2 Audio Codec: SAF5
    h.264 Video Codec: SAF5

    Thanks in advance,

    AW: Audio question

There was a similar problem in the German forum: Tonspuren schwanken.
Look at the screens and use the settings there.. this solved the problem for this user.
    Use "libdts" for DTS Format.

Edit: Ah I see now you don't have an AV-Receiver?! Then you also could try AC3Filter and see if this helps. I got the settings in the attached screenshot.

I applied these settings and the voices did indeed improve a bit more.

    Thanks Holzi
