After a bit more fiddling, it seems that one problem with setting the refresh rate to 23.976 hz creates other problems with the system stuttering (which I hadn't noticed with my previous short tests). I played around with the video renderer settings (keeping 23.976 hz) and found that removing the tick from the "Use nonsquare for scaling (recommended for quality)" option improved things significantly. Now my system is much smoother (although still not 100% perfect - but pretty much there) and as far as I can tell I do not have audio sync issues with any media (even the files that were "broken" by the change to 23.976 hz discussed a couple of posts ago). So, in summary - setting 23.976 hz refresh fixes audio sync issues for most mkv videos, but is very stuttery at times, and a few films are still out of audio sync, disabling the nonsquare scaling rendering then stops the stuttering and makes the rest of the videos work. Is this a coincidence, or is this a possible work-around solution for other users with this problem? Robbo100
