I Believe they are based on the same reference design... so i think therin lies the problem...

Just need to get it some attention... as the workaround works for that one card.. not a variety of cards installed on one system.

Hmmm an update...

I found a link to a site about driver tweaks for the pinnacle.. so i did them and now i have scanning occur on those frequencies without the no signal.. not tried actually tuning a channel on the card yet as they have a lower priority than the Hauppauge cards..

the bottom section regarding the registry fix.. i did it on both entries i had (for some reason probably cause i am using the blackgold drivers for the 3520?) rebooted the PC twice! and then it seemed to work... worth a shot.. but im guessing either Mediaportal is now doing something right and the drivers are wrong... or MP now does something a little wrong..
