Auto Download Fanart does not seem to work (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have checked Auto Download Fanart in TVSeries Config, but no fanart is downloaded and log file says "No fanart found for ...".

I have clear my database, but no result ...

If I go in fanart management in TVSeries GUI, I have to download fanart one by one ...

Your signature shows where log files are located, maybe you can attach them to your reply with MP-TVSeries running in debug mode?

It takes a bit to digest such a large log file, obvious things I notice are:

00000007 - 13/04/2010 18:31:59 - Found 004 episodes online for "The Lost Room", matching them up with local episodes now
00000007 - 13/04/2010 18:31:59 - Z:\Videos\Séries\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 1x04 - .La.boite.avi could not be matched online, check that the online database has this episode.
00000007 - 13/04/2010 18:31:59 - Z:\Videos\Séries\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 1x05 - .L.oeil.avi could not be matched online, check that the online database has this episode.
00000007 - 13/04/2010 18:31:59 - Z:\Videos\Séries\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 1x06 - .L.occupant.avi could not be matched online, check that the online database has this episode.

Which make sense, because: TheTVdB - The Lost Room - Season 1 only has 3 episodes showing. These not-foun-a-match shows can be found easy in the Importer section on manual lookup (as stated in FAQ).

Other then that, log sections such as:

Show me that there is not a problem with your system obtaining graphics, as it has a banner 'graphical/73739-g13.jpg', fanart 'fanart/original/73739-43.jpg' and poster 'posters/73739-7.jpg'. Locate the base folder otherwise (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs on mine, with 'Fan Art' and 'MPTVSeriesBanners' subfolders) where those images are stored on your computer. Perhaps something else is going on with your system, like index table/journal corruption on your harddisk (can be fixed easy with a pre-boot chkdsk scan), or images are corrupted (something went wrong during download), etc.

From a log point of view I can't see anything really wrong (maybe I overlooked something). Try to otherwise re-create your problem in as few steps as possible. For example add a new show you normally do not watch, by creating a 0-byte test file. Just create a new notepad document, rename it "Keeping Up with the Kardashians S01E01.avi", and place it in your TV import folder. Then start up MediaPortal, go directly to MP-TVSeries, and await the import to be finished. Navigate to the new show, verify no fanart/etc got downloaded, as to confirm problem exists. Then close MediaPortal, and provide log files.

Thanks for your fast reply !

I have no problems with banners, posters, only with fanart.

My System is clean and re installed last few week.

If I add a file for a new series like "Keeping Up with the Kardashians S01E01.avi", I go in MPTvSeries, wait few minutes, and the new series appear with fanart auto downloaded in "Fan Art" folder. It's OK.

But, if I clear my TVSeries Database and re scan all series, I have no fanart downloaded in "Fan Art" folder.

This log file is less biggest. I delete it before adding fake file. I have select each series, only Desperate Housewives has some fanart because I downloaded it manualy.

I'll look at log file later in more detail (unless somebody else has more time).

But MP-TVSeries does work in multiple stages a lot. Like it will grab some info first, and other info later. Images for example are not always directly obtained, but updated on a later pass. Also to prevent putting too much pressure on TheTVdB website it verifies first if it doesn't already has the image in the 'thumbs' folder.

Emptying your database without removing the already downloaded images could perhaps explain your problem. Also on my own setup, the '(empty)' option that the Configuration screen offers did not fix a database corruption problem I had many months ago. It was only when I actually deleted the TVSeriesDatabase4.db3 file (I actually renamed it, because backups are good) that my own problem went away (been running fine ever since).

It does mean that you will have to redo all your settings, so be sure to first export things that you can re-import, such as your custom parsing expressions, etc. You can even go as far as makeing screenshots of all the configuration tabs, so that you won't forget a setting.

I already tried to delete the contents of directory fan art but it did not work.

Hi !!

I delete my database, delete all folder thumbs of TVSeries, rescan my series and it's works fine now !! All fanart is donwloaded automaticaly !
