Is there a way to have the Movie Importer automatically ignore the .MPS file in my movie folders? I have been doing it manually. I rip my DVDs to ISO files in individual folders and the ripper also creates a MPS file but I'm not sure if the file is actually needed. The Movie Importer will acquire information on both files so I have duplicate entries in the database.

The list of file extensions that are treated as movie files is maintained by MediaPortal. Open the MediaPortal Configuration program, click "Videos" in the side bar then click "Video Extensions". You can add and remove extensions that are treated as video files here.

The MDS extension is not in the File Extension list. I even added it then removed it to make sure.

Thats weird, because he mentions MDS in thread title and MPS in post, and neither is a default video format in MP.

It is a default image format if you are using Virtual Drive functionality. Chumno, in the MediaPortal Configuration click General->Virtual Drive. In my install MDS is included in this list. Sorry I forgot video extensions are now stored in two places.

That's where the MDS extension was found, I am using Daemon Tools Lite so removed MDS from it's extensions and importer now ignoring them. Thanks.
