Auto import in GUI (1 Viewer)

Hello,

Is it possible to have only one folder, like C:\...\MOVIES for example, and when new movies are put in the folder it will be scanned for new movie info when loading media portal?

Media Portal 1.1.0

That's what I understood but I have to go to Media Portal Config --> plugins --> config Moving Pictures and then it shows at the importer that there are new movies detected and they are automatically scanned.

But I don't want to go into MP config all the time, it should do it in MP itself...

What setting might be wrong?

Try jigging the auto approve slider and name the files more accurate. It might help.

Remco, the importer by default runs in the GUI and any movies that are auto approved will be added to the movie list real time. The only movies that you have to go into the config screen for are those that are either too obscure or too poorly named to be auto approved.

i'll add my issue to this thread, since it's similar

i just recently started playing around with MP and Moving Pictures...like Remco747, i found that some of the movies i add to my "Movies" folder do not show up in Moving Pictures...but when i go into the Config. screen, i see these movies listed with their FILE names, and not with the FOLDER names as i have chosen in the config. settings...why are some movies found using the FOLDER name, and some not?.....using the FOLDER name is important for me, since the actual file names have no real recognizable data

but then while in the Config screen, when i click on the "Refresh"(?) button to manually search for the titles, they're all found with no problems, using the FOLDER name as titles....i thought maybe this was happening because there were multiple possible options for these titles, but in some cases there is only 1 match, which happens to be correct

so is this most likely related to the "auto approve" setting ?

p.s. when does Moving Pictures actually look for movie data, as soon as MediaPortal is launched or when the Moving Pictures plugin is started?
