Auto Sort Of Channels - like normal tuner (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I wonder if anyone can help.

I'm sure on a previouse version of MP the channels automatically sorted by their number. I've recently installed version 1 - which is looking great - but the channels are grouped instead of being in number order.

I've had a good look around but can't seem to find an option to sort them by number - is there one and if so would someone mind giving me a few pointers.

The order is sorted under TVServerConfig\Channels, the "All Channels" tab, if dvb they should be in lcn order, unless your reception is bad.

Thank you for your reply.

I should have mentioned that I'm using the programme without the TV server. I have looked at the channels section in the configuration section but I can't find a way to order them.

The signal is very strong and all dvb channels are being picked up but they are currently grouped by channel provider e.g. BBC is first.

I'm pretty sure that in one of the sections you can drag and drop them into order. Personally however I just click the colunm title and have them in alphabetical order, seems like the easiest way to find channels.

Thanks for that, I wasn't aware you could do that.....not sure if me other half would be impressed though, she wants to be able to press 35 and watch CSI

If they can be sorted by name, surely they can be sorted by number. Does MP get the number when it tunes in and is that stored in a file somwhere - if so is it possible to edit the file to order them there?
