Hi

I can schedule a program to be recorded and shutdown (sleep i think) with the off button on my remote.

The PC will then start up, record the program perfectly but then it doesn't shut down again once finished.

Is there a feature to do this please?

Thanks

Are you really using MePo 1.2.3?
If yes, install Powerscheduler++ and set up Options in MePo and TV Server config
If not, i.e. MePo 1.9: define Windows energy options to shut off PC

I would recommend to upgrade to 1.9...

    Hi

i've upgraded to MePo 1.9 but not upgraded my powerschedular.

This version seems to have standby options like, "shutdown when idle for X time"

Its ticked but never shut down itself. How can it do this as i my mind the system is never idle since i may record a tv show for 1 hr but the channel might still broadcast all night?

Can someone help explain how to set the auto shutdown feature also?

Under 1.9 shutdown PS s normally configured to use defined the Windows power settings. Open a cmd window with admin privileges and enter

    Powercfg /requests

This will show you any Windows process that is blocking standby. Most often it is a badly configured EPG in TV Server that is preventing standby. You can test this by stopping the MediaPortal TVServer sevice (set standby time to something short in Windows, say 2 min, for testing). If the PC then goes into standby, the problem is with TV Server.

P.S.: thanks for updating your sys specs to show your MePo version.
