Auto3D plugin for MediaPortal 1.2 - 1.12 (GUI & TV/Beamer) (13 Viewers)

I am new to it. For unsing Eventghost, do i need the MP Plugin Eventghost plus for it or how does it work?

No you don't need that Plugin. Just Start EventGhost and everything should work.

Hi,

I found some example code <here> to make a call to the nvapi.dll.
If you have a HDCP ready tv and a geforce card with enabled 3d (nvision) the geforce card changes tv resolution to 3d.
Is it possible that you implement this to the list for input devices ; Nvidia nvision (HDCP ready TV).
When you go this way you dont need to make a call to the tv api or need CEC, the geforce card takes care of it.

You can test this if you have such card, go to nvida 3D settings, and chose the test button.

Also I was wondering, is it maybe a better way to put the 3d settings in the standard settings from the osd under the screen resolution, language, subtitles, etc.
Maybe Mediaportal Devs could look into it, it would be great if this plugin would be adapted to the Mediaportal source.

@vuego: Do you use my latest Core.dll, because the Auto3D just sets the parameters that are used by the Core.dll to display the subtitles?

Yes, I'm now using MediaPortal 1.3.0, Auto3D_Complete-7 and Core.dll for 1.3.0 Release and I have the same issue.

I'm trying to play a normal 2D .mkv file with a .srt subtitle. I confirmed it working before exchanging the Core.dll file and the subtitles are not displayed when using the Auto3D Corel.dll file. Subtitles are set to auto load and I also tried manually selecting subtitles while playing the video.

If I use Ctrl+D to select 3D Side by Side, I see the double subtitles and if I then change back to 2D the subtitles are displayed normally. It seems that Auto3D needs to be "activated", either by the menu or automatically, for any subtitles to be displayed.
Any ideas?

OK, as the next release will still take a few days, I decided to fix this one it right now.

You can find a second version of the Core for the 1.3 Release in the first post of this thread. (Core for 1.3.0 Release-2.zip)

That should fix this anoying bug

Core for 1.3.0 Release-2 fixes the 2D subtitles
Now I only have one issue left and that is the subtitle dept not working as I already mentioned earlier.

Finally managed to test it out on a fresh 1.3.0 installation on Win7.

Unfortunately, it does not work for me

I installed the plugin and substituted the core.dll with the revision 2 of the one attached to the first post.

I first tried with the auto 3D option on, based on the title of the file, and when i lounch a movie, audio starts normally, but the video does not. All video is frozen until i press stop and am returned to the video selection page. During the playback, even if i press CTRL+D, nothing happens, or the "info" button of the remote... nothing! Only "stop" seems to work.

I then tried again selecting the "Always show the 3D selection menu" option, and i get to see that dialogue box at the beginning of the movie, while it starts playing in normal mode, and as soon as i select SBS, the image freezes again, until i play stop.

I am a bit lost, as nobody seems to have had the same problem.

I am running TITAN and Moving Pictures, but had the same exact issue with Standard Wide and the Video plugin.

Anybody else who has had the same problem and actually managed to solve it?

No idea what's happening on your PC. Could you attach the MediaPortal.log to your post? I will look into it.
