Hi, I have not used this feature before and am interested in using it on the new 42" LCD I have hooked up via DVI-HDMI adaptor. I am finding that sometimes when panning is involved (particularly up and done more so than side to side) it seems to be a bit 'jumpy'? When I go to screen resolution and look at the supported refresh rates of my tv, I have the following options:

25Hertz interlaced
29Hertz interlaced
30Hertz interlaced
50Hertz
59Hertz
60Hertz

I have the resolution set at 1920x1080 and the screen shows as 1080p @ 60Hertz. What would be the best settings for me to use for NTSC, PAL and Cinema based on the above (I dont use MP for live TV)? I was not sure about using the interlaced options.

Thanks in advance!

for 24 / 23.976 fps stuff (cinema) you should ideally use a 24hz refreshrate, but since you dont mention this as a possibility. you will have to make do with either 50hz (expect juddering here) or use the reclock filter.
tourettes and arion_p are currently doing work on our own filter similar to what reclock does.

you can join the testing here:

    for ntsc use: 60hz
    for pal use: 50hz

    a tip:
while playing back some video clip within MP try and hit shift+1 to enable/disable it. It should show u horizontally moving bar. If this judders, then the movie will judder as well.
