Autoplay video or slideshow on startup (1 Viewer)

Hello everybody,

I have installed the mediaportal to a pc which is connected to a tv and I want when the pc starts up the mediaportal automatically play a video or a slideshow. I read about MPstartit but how I can configure that or if exists another plugin to play a specific video or picture files.

Hi there,

MePo isnt really designed for this functionality.....

If you purely want to play a video or picture/slideshow, it might be easier to just use Mediaplayer...and launch it via the startup group?

You could install the plugin EventGhost+ or EventTrigger and use EventGhost (an application for automating tasks) to react on the "start" event of MP and trigger some inputs / keypresses within MP with Eventghost to get your slideshow or movie going.
