XP Pro, Nova sticks x2 (although I can only get 1 to work at a time until Hauppauge bring out a new driver). MP version 2.1.0

Hi,

Love the new release - works really solidly. One issue, when I autotune, MP doesn't receive some channels which wintv can receive (and locks into happily). Is there any way I can either export the channel list from wintv or change a setting in MP so it will autotune better? The reception I get on these channels is fine so the signal strength should be ok.

Cheers,

Richard

Fixed - one of the frequencies in the auto tune list for crystal palace was wrong (i think 556000 should have been 562000).

How did you fix this?
I am on the crystal palace too, I get 62 channels on my set top box. But MP is only finding 6 at the moment (I had 16 untill I tried installing some hotfixes to get rid of stuttters and things).Grrr

Getting my pvr running is becoming a full time job : (

Hi,

I know what you mean about full time job with this system. I'm now on 2.1.0 and happy. I know that the server does wizzy things but the wife just wants to see the tv (as do I). I suggest you go to the latest stable version, install it and see how well it works then. If you do a search for '562000' you should find the post which talks about channel frequencies. I believe the file is mediaportal/tuningparameters/dvbt.xml and this should be one entry:

<country name="UK - Crystal Palace" offset="167">
<carrier frequency="482000" bandwidth="8" />
<carrier frequency="506000" bandwidth="8" />
<carrier frequency="522000" bandwidth="8" />
<carrier frequency="530000" bandwidth="8" />
<carrier frequency="538000" bandwidth="8" />
<carrier frequency="554000" bandwidth="8" />
<carrier frequency="556000" bandwidth="8" />
<carrier frequency="578000" bandwidth="8" />
</country>

Hope you have more luck but I do think it's worth it...in the end.

Thanks man.
I managed to find more channels last night. Which is great, exept there blank! Its crazy, I've been working on this thing for about 8 months now. I fix one thing only to get a diferent problem. Sometimes I just want to smash my pc to bits. Bah!
