You won't have any problems, even if you do a fresh install of MP 1.2.0. RC. This skin has an .exe installer. There are only compatibility problems with .MPEI installers.

the current version of Avalon does work with MP 1.2 RC1.

is it possible for those nice rounded fonts to get cyrillic codepage support? i have seen some derivates of those fonts with cyrillic symbols...

Thanks for the info. Your right it works with RC1.
.... But I was so foolish to also install the new fanart plugin from cul8er for MPrc1. I get a lot off strings in the main menu. You probably already know this, but I want to be sure you know before the next release comes out.

[in theorie, would it be possible to get a quick fix? like a single .xml which fixes this in the main menu only?]

Congrats on a fantastic skin, i genuinly think this has the potential to be one of the best in the MP community. Ive had a few bugs with it since doing a clean MP 1.2RC install though:

• MP crashes when navigating a DVD disc
• MP crashes on home screen after one click of the remote (up or down)
• Getting lines of code appearing in the GUI in certain areas (date on the home screen etc)

The above are definately skin issues as im not having any problems in default skin. As said though, this has great potential and i look forward to future releases

I find it very strange that the skin could cause a crash when navigating through the DVD menu. Are you sure about this?

Regarding the homescreen.
Basic (created with avalon editor) or Classic homescreen?

100%. I tried it 3 times with Avalon skin (classic homescreen btw), and when navigating in the root menu of the disc i get a window pop up saying that MP has stopped working. Closing the pop-up then closes MP and i have to restart it.

When switching to default skin everything works fine. I didnt make any other changes.

Nice to hear! I'm not using this skin because a couple of plugins are not supported yet.. Hope that they are supported in the next release!
