Synopsis::

I was finaly able to install this card on media portal (thx to hacked drivers from jasonrooney). But i still have some problems. I was able to find all channels with autotune (so i suppose that ard is visible from media portal and tuning works fine), but i still can't see any of them. I explain beter:
When i go to my tv, and choose channel i see only black screen with no video or sound.

Any ideas?

I had similar issues. I ended up giving up on the Aver as the POS that it is.

I won't be buying any more Aver products and I think quite a few others are just as bitter.

Depending on where you are there are much better alternatives that are quite cheap.

Yeah i know that i have done a biiig mistake by buying this card. Anyway i was able to make it work with progDVB, so i think that this issue could be related to media portal. Any help?

P.s. yeah i would never buy another avermedia product too!

Instructions are there too. I'm just going to add some words cause something is not written there:
1) there is no more Technisat 1018.zip available since it was refered to version 4.3.0 of technisat software, and now only 4.3.2 is available to download The problem is that devicecheck.exe doesn't have anymore 0x1D, 0x35 hex address, and i dunno new parameters. So you have to find old version of file (4.3.0 around the net). I was able to find them on emule (no i don't post the link since i'm not sure that it will not be in line with tems on this forum) and edit it's devicecheck.exe like in instructions.

2) If you have error unable to create graph try to use media portal 1.3.0 instead of 2.x

3) once you have been able to add the card (it will be listed like b2c2 generic bla bla) you must create a new template file for your frequences. Just go in Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\TuningParameters and create new file and put in

satname=Aver771
722000,H,0
794000,H,0
594000,H,0
842000,H,0
474000,H,0

You can take frequences from the aver software, and put them (it's the first value, then add ,h,0)

4) If you don't live in australia you must change your settings for dvb area. It should be 8 for most part of europe (see dvbt.xml).
Run regedit
Go in HCU\Software\ and create a new key called mydvbtband with dword value of your zone

After all that things you should be able to synthonize succesfuly your card.

P.s. i've succesfully tested it with dvbviewer too, CMON i wannna use it with media portal!!!

Sorry I can't offer any more help. I remember that I did get it working, but never very well. It was a long time ago, so I can't remember much of the details though.
