[solved] AverMedia A835 missing channels (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'm using a newly acquired AverMedia A835 DVB-T and I tried to setup Media Portal. Everything runs fine and the tuner is recognized, but when performing a scan Media Portal only detects 4 channels versus the roughly 20+ channels available. I tried to plug my cable in a TV and everything runs fine. I've also tried AverMedia's proprietary software AverTV and everything also works fine, confirming the tuner is not faulty. What could be the result of this? I've properly setup my country and region in the tuner properties too.

Hello and welcome!

Have you checked that MediaPortal is scanning the right frequencies for the region you selected?
We rely on our community to keep our tuning details up-to-date. Sometimes the frequencies change, and people don't tell us about it...

You were right, I should have thought about that! Now how can I change that? Here are the frequencies if you want to update them, it's for Rouen in France.

490000 (channel 23)
514000 (channel 26)
570000 (channel 33)
578000 (channel 34)
602000 (channel 37)
626000 (channel 40)
714000 (channel 51)
730000 (channel 53)

You can update c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\dvbt\France.Rouen.xml with the attached file.

Here are the frequencies if you want to update them, it's for Rouen in France.

Well I've only been using it for 1 day with Media Portal, but it's working perfectly. Recording is fine too. Are you looking for something specific?

No. Only if you detect few error. Or its stable. Because lot of new member or old member search usb tuner. Who can work with mp
