Hi guys, just got this avermedia m779 hybrid pcie card in my new dell computer and i'm really struggling to get it work with mediaportal.

Here is a link to my graphedit for this card:

And here is what i've added to the capturecarddefinitions.xml file:

<capturecard commercialname="M779 PCIe BDA DVB-T Tuner 2" capturename="M779 PCIe Digital Video Capture 2" devid="ven_18c3&dev_0720&subsys_032e1461&rev_00&tuner">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"/>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"/>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="M779 PCIe BDA DVB-T Tuner 2" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="M779 PCIe Digital Video Capture 2" checkdevice="true"/>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"/>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

Does anyone know if i'm doing something wrong here, as I think it should work with what i've done.

Cheers

    Your graph shows ffdshow and AC3 filters included (as well as MPV and MPA) - I suggest you uninstall ffdshow and AC3 (to get them out of the graph) and see if it works correctly then?

    They only render the stream, I can't even get the configuration to see the tuner to allow me to scan for channels.

    on your definitions u got as device id : devid="ven_18c3&dev_0720&subsys_032e1461&a mp;rev_00&tuner">

    shouldn' t it be:
    devid="ven_18c3&dev_0720&subsys_032e1461&a mp;rev_00">

    According to the guide:
    "Write down or copy and paste the moniker into notepad starting from ven until you reach the end typically finishing in rev_xx. In this example the moniker would be ven_1131&dev_7134&subsys_03015168&rev_01 "
