MP Version: 0.2.0 current CVS 11/2/05
Skin: default
Windows Version: xp SP2
CPU Type: P4
Memory: RIMM 256
Motherboard Chipset: Intel 82x
Video Card: nvidia 5200
Video Card Driver: 7.8.0.1
Video Card Resolution: 640x480
Video Render Type: VMR9
Video Codec Type & Version: various
Audio Codec Type & Version: various
TV Card: Avermedia Ultra 1500MCE
TV Card Driver: 1.0.6.14

Just replace my WinTV S/W card with the Avermedia H/W card and the video that plays good with the UltraTV app that comes with the card plays very dim in MP; looks like the brighness is turned way down. I'm using the 0.2RC1 with the most current CVS (11/2/05) and the most current AverMedia drivers. -- Any suggestions?

    Hi,

Do you have the same issue when you change the Video Renderer for MyTV to Overlay?

    Kind regards,
    Michel

    Hi,

Of course, the term Overlay isn't used anymore. Try VMR7 instead and see if you've got the same result.

I have almost the same setup. Avermedia 1500MCE and Nvidia 5200.

Works Great in VMR9 renderless mode. But im using the nvidia codecs.

Our you outputting to a tv or monitor?
what version of nvidia driver do you have?
have you played with the settings for brightness in the display control panel for your nvidia card?

i've found with the nvidia codec. that tv is sluggish unless you unregister fdshow in windows and turn it off in MP . I think nvidia codec already has its own post processing filter that works with the video and audio codecs.

    hope this helps
