Good afternoon everyone,

I've recently installed Media Portal on a PC that I'm hoping to use as my media center. Now before I'm aloud to hook it up to the TV, I have to do some testing, make sure everything is working. I've got most everything nutted out, but I'm unable to find the answer to two queries I'm having.

Firsty, my MiniATX board only has 2 PCI slots, ones being used for the sound card and the other for my TV tuner, which is good. Now, if I wanted to add another TV tuner, could I just plug a TV 'dongle' in and have it piggy back off my PCI areial signal?

And secondly. I cant seem to make the cool skins work. I've popped SpinSafe Revolve on, but all its seems to do is change the color of the background and such, the screenshots seem to make it look like it has a horisontal UI, much like OSX. Am I missing something, or just misunderstanding the way it works?

Thanks in advance for reading.

I am assuming you are talking about a USB TV Adaptors. I could not see a problem with this at all. Just make sure it is supported by MediaPortal or make sure the shop will allow returns or exchanges if it does not work. A word of advise on the USB devices though, the USB bus has a limited bandwidth and if you have multiple USB devices connected on the one USB bus, you may encounter some issues. I don't if you will have problems down this line but I Just thought I would mention it.

Just press the H key on the keyboard in the main menu screen. There are 2 home screens and pressing H toggles between the 2. One is called the Basic Home screen and the other is called Home. Basic Home usually displays the basic stuff like Pictures, TV, Video, Music. The other home screen shows the extra stuff like weather, all you plugins, settings, etc.

Also pressing H from any screen within MP will bring you straight back to the Home/Basic Home.

Your a good man, I'm just going with the one tuner at the moment... Media Portal Server and Client seem to be doing well off the network. Tonight I rebuild the machine in a media case and hook it up.

    Again, thanks for your help.
