Hi, First of all, I love this program and I've spent quite a bit of time configuring and customizing MP and finally have things exactly the way I want them. Wouldn't you know it... I noticed this morning that my hard drive is starting to get buggy and I fear that it may be on the way out. Since I've put so much time and effort into customizing MP, I was wondering if there's an easy way to back everything up so that, if my HD does crash, I can reinstall MP with all of my current settings and custom folder on a new drive without having to spend hours of tweaking again? Is it possible to just backup the ...\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal directory and then copy the files back onto my new HD after I've reinstalled a fresh copy of MP?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just backed everything up and I feel much better. I read through the installation guidelines but it's a little unclear as to whether i need to reinstall all of my plugins or if they will be automatically installed when I import the backup file. I think that they will be installed automatically but I want to make sure. Also, do I need to copy my media files to the same exact directory location for the BackupSettings plugin to work properly? (i.e. copy all of my movies into the 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Videos' directory)

It should back up plugins (though I never tested this). As to backing up movies, I do not think this plugin requires this/is intended for this. Instead the plugin should just restore MP's settings/databases/etc. and MP will expect your movies where they initially were located. So you better transfer movies separately.
