Hi together,

a few days ago I bought a Windows Home Server V1 (WHS). I stored my pictures there and via network share I mapped the share as picture folder in the MP configuration. The WHS falls into Hibernate modus if there is no ativity on it. If the server is not active I use the WOL Plug In waking up the Server.

Problem 1: Using the WOL Plug MP hangs until the share is available (> 25 sec) :(
Problem 2: If the server falls into Hibernate again nearly every click in MP takes about > 30 sec or MP totally hangs.:(

I don't see any hints in the log files.

Any idea what can I do here?

Thanks in advance

No idea?
I definatelyhave issues and I don't find reason why.

Is there a kind of timeout configuration where mediaportal wants to acces a share whcih is no more available due to server standby?

    Hi Juro,

it seems not to be a problem of MP. Windows runs into the timeout when MP trys to connect to the share. The drive on your WHS seems to fall into sleep and it takes some time until it is waken up.
I use the UNC path instead of a share and I only have to wait for some seconds until the server drive is awake. After that time it works perfect and fast.

yeah, indeed. I wake up the server with an external tool now. MP did not hang until the server is strating and the path/share is available then.
