Banners, graphs or whatever photo are not shown (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I'm using MP RC2.0 + Xface skin. Just installed the TVSeries 2.0, imported all my series, downloaded all banners, all metadata but...

No photo's are shown inside mediaportal, it's driving me crazy as i've tried everything. Here are some pics to show what I mean:

1. When I select a series the text dissapears + there is no banner.

2. No season banner + very small text.

3. No episode banner.

4. Also inside TVSeries config, no images are shown, however I can select them from the drop down box!

Please help...

Maybe thetvdb.com is having problems again (the switched servers lately) and perhaps the API isn't (fully) functioning yet. However, when you can select the banners in the configuration, there might be something wrong with the database...

All info is downloaded correctly I guess... I can see the files in the thumbs folder.. it sucks

Is the DB local or do you have it configured for multiple MP clients?
If it is configured for multiple clients, there might be an issue with finding the correct thumbs in (local) folders...

It's local..

Seems like the plugin does not "find" the banners etc..

I had this issue last weekend then installed the latest stable version of MP-TVSeries found here:

MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - Remository

It seems the API was updated and you need a newer build to be able to interface with it correctly.

no no no... I have latest (2.0) version...

I believe the problem might be to do with unc paths as I've had the same problem on one of my machines which uses a shared database and thumbs folder from the server. To solve it, I just copied the thumbs from the server and then set mediaportal to use a local thumbs folder instead by editing the mediaportaldirs.xml file.

There's also a setting in the tv series config called something like 'use alternative image loading method' which might help you if the above doesn't work.

I changed the path - tags to a local url; lets see ok? Don't think that will help.. but seems very likely to work! tbc

edit:

OK that was the problem; so that's a bug in mediaportal / TvSeries. Would have never found this! Banners are shown now.

1. However, when i cycle through the banner list, sometimes a banner disappears!?

2. Episode thumbnails are also not shown.

Changing the thumb location worked for me, after that I didn't have any more problems. The only difference between us is that I'm using either the Aeon skin or the Indigo skin, whereas you're using xface but I doubt that would really affect it.
