I currently have a problem with the second HTPC I build, Currently when I watch LIVE TV I can see severall see through bars moving through the screen from top to bottom. This problem is very annoying and really limits my tvviewing fun. I don't have this problem when I'm watching moveis or shows it only happens when I watch LIVE TV.

I already tried all the video codecs I have and the different deinterlacing methods available but nothing seems to help. I also tried several resolutions on my pc supported by my tv but nothing helps there either, currently I'm running a resolution of 576*720.

Latsly I tried with some extra pieces try to establish a VGA connection opposed to a DVI connection but some very strange things ahppen then, when the pc boots i seems to have uninstalled my graphic driver, it puts my resolution at 640 and colors at 4 bit and no way of changing this, even reinstalling the drivers don't seem to help.

I very much appreciate any help as this is the last problem I have to solve to have my mediacenter pc run smoothly.

Included is a picture of how the image look I hope the bars are a bit clear.

That may be interference from cabling in or around your pc or the TVCard itself faulty, if it is, the only way of proving it, is check the TVcard out with the hauppauge software and see if you get the same effect or not.

Also try moving the TVCard to another pci slot.

this is interference from the tv broadcast.. moving the card while it shows no signs of irq trouble is often not a good idea since it could create more trouble then it would solve. The best thing you can do is move the antenna kabel around and check if other tv-channels have the same interference, if so it could be that your demodulator is damaged but i doubt that. it could also indicate a heat problem but i also doubt that. Do you have a splitter between both antenna of the 2 htpc ? i have the same card as you do , this hvr-1300.. never seen this kind of image from it . i did see a lot of broken videocards and drivers and this doesnt look like it. it is for sure interference from either the antenna or something else.
