Hi and hello,

I've tried out Basic Home Editor 10 minutes ago which I've never used before (yes really) because the editor crashed sometimes in the past but now Avalons version is running great. :)

Now I've got a OnlineVideos specific question. In Basic Home Editor there is the possibility to link directly to a OnlineVideos site i.e. Youtube, ZDF Mediathek and so on...

But is it also possible to give a parameter which directly targets to a side sub category i.e. channels of YouTube or the "Das Erste"-Tagesschau category?

This would be totally extremely awsome :)

Love u all :)

Please ask the question in the Thread/Subforum of the skin - because we are not the creators of the Basic Home Editor. That tool belongs to and is implemented by the skin designer.
OnlineVideos itself allows what you are asking for, it's only a matter of implementing support for it in the basic home editor.

Ok. Thanks offbyone. I'll ask it there. :) Great that OnlineVideos gives the possibility to do this.
You're all doing a really great work with this addon :)

Great news, how does Online Videos support this? How to make a shortcut directly to a subcategory?
    bye, urev

I tried it out. Some things work with this some don't.
The first problem was (no OnlineVideos issue) that the Basic Home Editor didn't give me the possibility to use all kinds of parameters. So I decided to try them out directly in the basichome xml file and it worked.

Second I used it to call directly the categories of YouTube and others like for example "XXXX's abonnements" in YouTube. Or "DasErste -> Nachrichten".

Third it is possible to search for some specific things like some channels but it is only a search. As far as I know it is not possible to jump directly to a YouTube channel. This feature would be extremely nice. In my ol' XBMC days I used this more than everything else when I had direct links to my favorite channels in the "home screen". It's really cool.

But at least you are able to your groups. So I use it for directly jumping in my YouTube abonnements instead of the standard start screen where you see "favorites, most recently, ...". I never use these but I always use my subscriptions. :)

Would a solution be to make a custom xml file for loading online videos on a certain site, then add that custom xml file to any basic home editor. This approach would work for any skin. If such an xml file is possible, then a sample could be added by someone to the wiki.
