I have the HDMI output from my HTPC going to my Yamaha Receiver RX-V1900. The HDMI output from this receive is connected to my TV. When I am playing music in MP using the BASS player, if I switch my source on the Yamaha receiver and then switch it back to HTPC, I find that the music does not play. What I mean is if I now try to select a diferent song and press play on it, it does not play. This happens even if there is no song playing and I switch to a different source and switch back and therefore is very annoying.

However, the interesting thing is that if I go to the videos section and play a video and then come back to the music and try to play a song it now plays.

Alternatively, if I switch to using the Internal DShow Player all works fine. However, I would like to use the BASS player for serveral reasons - one being for enabling the visualisations and equaliser display on the mini-display.

Could someone please help me:( Logs attached.

hi,

i have the same problem. if i use the bass player and i switch the windows direct sound device from hdmi to spdif i cannot hear music anymore, only a restart of mediaportal is helping. but this is not the solution for me ;)

if i use the internal dshow player i can change the sound device like i want, its always playing music on the selected device as expected. but with the internal player i have problems like a scratching noise on each song change, which is really annoying.

any help?
