Hi.
Hopefully someone might be able to help me. I've recently ripped a load of cassettes using audiograbber and LAME 3.97 encoder into a variable bit rate MP3 (rather than constant bit rat encoding - seemed like a good idea at the time). Unfortunately the internal BASS player now spits these files as unrecognisable. An example from the log file is:
2007-08-27 17:30:11.781250 [ERROR][MPMain]: BASS: Unable to play C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Music\Annihilator\Alice In Hell\02 Alison Hell.mp3. Reason: BASS_ERROR_FILEFORM.
2007-08-27 17:30:11.812500 [ERROR][MPMain]: PlaylistPlayer: *** unable to play - C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Music\Annihilator\Alice In Hell\02 Alison Hell.mp3 - skipping track!
Curiously skipping back to the internal Dshow player works fine. So does Media player 11.
Any ideas as the sound is much better using the BASS player than Dshow.
Cheers.
