BBC HD Channels (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

As some of you may know I have had some problems since installing 1.2RC in that there was first a database update problem, which I seemed to eventually resolve, and then an MP freezing problem when selecting channels in the EPG.

I decided to wipe everything, inc MySQL & datafiles and start again with completely clean install. It is taking some time but I'm getting there, however, I now cannot seem to get the BBC HD channels showing up; in fact they are not showing up in a scan of the DVB-S/S2 card, and are also not listed in the "All Channels" tab of the TV Server Config. I have the other FTA HD Channels (CH4 HD, ITV 1HD) and these play fine.

I have set the TV Server to scan for DVB-S2 channels as I do know BBC changed their settings a couple of months ago.

Have they moved again?? I have rescanned 3 times now on both tuners, but still no show. Hmmm.... very odd. Do I have to enter these two HD channels manually?? Just thought I'd ask prior to posting any logs up...

The old reinstall trick huh!
Try clicking the "update satellite list" button to update the satellite transponder lists before scanning.

Hi mm,

I was getting grief off the GF... the "WAF" from the freezing up had really plummeted so drastic action was called for. I also d/l new updated for the TBS card, and the channel change is much faster now, and also the time it takes for the TV picture to appear is much quicker.

I did the update Satellite list prior to scanning, but this has not made them show up. I'll try and enter them manually - maybe the xml data??? from the satellite list hasn't been updated.

I'll keep the forum posted on the outcome...

EDIT: Now got them working.... I had to manually add them using the details on this thread >>HERE<< I used the details as posted by Pletskop and it updated them. They must have already been in the database as they didn't appear a 'new', just 'updated'. I went back in the channel list and there they were!
