Unfortunatly you won't get SKY News on the freesat EPG.
Im getting BBC1 HD fine using the SKY EPG addon I previously linked to. If you tuned in BBC1 HD when it was listed as channel 6941 before it was launched and on the epg, with the test card running you may need to delete it and rescan it in. I think some of data that Freesat EPG uses like channel the ID is stored when the channel is scanned. When the channels EPG slot moves that channel ID becomes invalid and you won't get the EPG to populate.
The Sky EPG addon uses a different code and it is less taxing on the PC resources, it should run alot quicker. You'll also get EPG for a few FTA channels like SKY News that are not on Freesat.
Since I went to 1.2.0 with the latest Sky add ons, I'm having some EPG problems. I exported the channels and reimported so I guess I will delete my channel list and rescan it...
Wish I could use MSSQL though, because I seem to have the occasional database corruption using MYSQL.
I don't bother with the Sky channel numbers at the moment - but I will when it is incorporated!
Are you still missing logos for some Sky stuff? I'm trying to get a complete set named correctly that I can upload here, but I still miss several (like Crime +1, Sky Sports HD 4 etc)
I rescanned but still no EPG for "BBC One HD".......so I enabled channel 6941 (ch.2156) which has EPG data, renamed it "BBC 1 HD" for my Tvguide, copied the logo and the jobs a good un.
I have done a complete reinstall and rescanned also. All is now fine.
However... Does anyone have a full and comprehensive DVB-S & DVB-S2 transponder list? Even the downloaded one from within MP is out of date and has transponders missing..
I have added some manually, but is there a better place to grab one in the correct format from?
Hi guys,I've been using MP for 3years now and apart from only a couple of issues with WebEPG over the last few years,WebEPG has been working perfectly for me..................including all the $ky channels!!
I'm not sure if you are aware but there is a program called RadioTimes_MyDigiGuide.exe (attached) - this reconfigures your GB grabber based on the latest channels etc. I know a few people using this, including me and it seems to work very well.
I've got the system running with a non-dedicated server and 3 clients and it's all good BUT just recently I'm seeing a problem, when I'm viewing the guide in MP, scrolling though and then suddenly half the channels (which were fully populated, including BBC HD) dissapear, server/PC freezes and I can't even CTRL, ALT, DEL out of it - it needs a hard re-boot to get the system up and running!
I don't know if this is WebEPG or TV Server/TV Guide causing the problem!
A nightmare, especially since ALL the rest of the system performs perfectly, on both the server and clients................sooooo frustrating, especially since I havent seem this particular problem on any of the previous versions of MP.
I'm using the latest (not SVN's) version of MP on both the server and client machines.
WebEPG is grabbing the data every night at 3am and is fully populated, so I'm thinking it's not WebEPG thats causing the problems.
Ian, notice you are based in Stonehaven............I'm just a couple of miles away from you in Maryculter! Happy to meet up and help, if I can, with any issues with MP, if indeed I know any more about it than your good self!
Any ideas why this TV Guide is crashing within MP anyone and I need a hard re-boot - logs attached????
