    What does this mean?

I don't think you are going to get MediaPortal to work with Via/s3g Unichrome Pro Igp (64 MB) video - it doesn't meet the minimum requirements?

Have you been able to run Autotune successfully? If you have then it would help if you posted your MediaPortal.log file information (Please use http://mp.pastebin.com and then post the link in your forum thread)

    Taipan,

There are no graph files which, from my almost nil experience but lots of reading in the forums, I would have expected to find with BDA drivers in use - maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here.

In defence of the S3 drivers, this particular mobo has been built with media apps in mind - the Nehemia CPU includes MPEG decoder capability, although it is probably useless without software that takes advantage of it but the box plays HDTV fine using the Dvico app that came with the card (it surprised me that the CPU would deliver at HDTV resolutions but it does). Also, MP plays DVDs and does the TV guide number without any dramas.

The bit that's got me whacked is that MP finds the card OK, goes through the config process without complianing and throws up an error that I can't find a solution for on the MP web site, in the forum or on the web in general.

I really want an alternative to MCE here. Microsoft is moving into bloatware that tries to take over your whole life and the disparity between TV card drivers and directshow drivers is too great at present.

    Regards,

    Bruce

Yes, I think you are... :)

MediaPortal makes extensive use of DirectX 9 (which the Dvico application doesn't), so I am a bit surprised that the S3 video chip is coping....

You have lost me here - are you able to complete the Autotune part of configuration?

Exactly where (at what step) does the error occur?

It would still be very helpful if you posted your MediaPortal.log file information (Please use http://mp.pastebin.com and then post the link in your forum thread)

BTW, there is another user with a Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T Lite experiencing a similar problem, so maybe it is related to the latest version of their BDA drivers?

I'm having the same problem I think you may be right that the card seems to be in use.

Might try downgrading to the drivers that came with the Fusion Lite and see what happens then.

Well its work with the original drivers... kinda
Still no end of issues with No signal and some channels going off the screen
Guess its back to the crappy app that came with the card :/

Not necessarily - the Dvico DVB cards usually work beautifully with MediaPortal - so if you want to persist, I am sure we can help you to get it working.... :)

A good place to start would be with the latest release 0.2, which is available from here. Completely un-install your current version, delete all the remaining MediaPortal folders, and start a fresh. Also, make sure you read all the "Tips and Tricks" about patches to insatll.

    Taipan,

Have posted the log to mp.pastebin.com.

Following indicates where it breaks during config - whoops, can't upload here - In config > Television > Capture Cards, I select the card and then Edit button and get dialog saying "Unable to create graph for this device!!"

    Thanks

Also, make sure that the Dvico app isn't trying to access the card. Check task manager to make sure that only the remote control app is running from DVico and no recording processes are operating and hogging the card.
(probably a long shot, but doesn't hurt to check)

You need to post the actual link here, so we can find your particular log.

If Marcusb's suggestion doesn't help, then this may be a problem with the latest BDA drivers from Dvico - can you uninstall them and try the previous release - v3.30.01?
