I've recently posted about my system giving me BSOD, i've taken my KWorld DVB-T 300 card out and it now works fine. So i'm guessing the tv tuner is causing issues.

Therefore i'm willing to pay out(and go overdrawn) for a new TV Tuner.

I don't know which ones work with Media Portal but basically my budget is up to £40(thats like, $30 i think?). Needs to be DVB-T, internal. I'd like it to have features such as video in via SVHS/Component but if not i'm not too bothered.

Anyone recommend any good buys out there? I've looked on amazon and theres a lot of choice, but not sure which work best with MP with good performance.

I've found these few on Amazon very low cost:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Newmi-FM713.../ref=pd_sbs_ce?ie=UTF8&qid=1216158895&sr=1-12

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hauppauge-W.../ref=de_a_smtd?ie=UTF8&qid=1216158895&sr=1-12

^they're the sort i'm after.... Will they work with MP and are they any good or is there any others anyone can recommend?

I'll give this a go for 18 squid. Not been all that impressed with my Hauppauge 500. Is it 1 and analofue and 1 DVB-T?

I just put 2 x Leadtek DTV1000S cards in a new HTPC - they're both working great. Were only about $30 (AUD) each! They have antenna, composite and S-video input (although I'm not sure if the composite and S-video inputs work within MediaPortal). The remote's not bad either - just about got it fully working with MediaPortal .... the only thing I can't get it to do is wake up the PC from standby, but I don't know if that's a card or motherboard problem.

    Cheers,
    Craig

I have a couple of Terratec D2400i cards in my machine - dual tuners, but no through cable option so you will need a splitter before feeding two

Well I got the Pinnacle 3010iX in the end (its dual analog + dual dvb-t) - so far so good.

I get much better signal quality & strength than before, and so far no break up on any of the channels, unlike with my hauppage nova-t 500 on the same aerial. May get another one for server once I've tested it some more, definatley a bargin at £19, compared with what I paid for the NovaT.
