Try YAMMM or Colbee - auto services that check files and folders as you add them to your library.

I'm using YAMMM personally, I just drop a file in to my library and it gets renamed and NFO, XML and fan art automatically...

I'm also using IMDB+ to rename the movies within MP correctly (to my taste).
