Big delay in navigating Blue3 wide (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Skin: Blue3 Wide
Windows Version: Xp sp3 + latest hotfixes
CPU Type: Intel Celeron 336-2,8Ghz
Memory: Apacer DDR2 PC6400 2048MB Passive
Motherboard: Asus P5LD2-VM Se
Video Card: On board 945G

This system is used as a client to the main system in my specs and fits for the job but it's fairly slow in navigation.
Is this normal with this specifications or can I do something in the configuration to make it more responsive?

I noticed that MP pulls the cpu usage to 100%, is this normal?

Not sure how well the IGP works.... it is (according to Wiki) DX9, though....

EDIT: just noticed that when the screen goes blank (mp configuration) the cpu usage drops from 100% to about 8%

Display Memory: 64.0 MB

Please make sure that at least 128 MB (pref. more) memory is assigned to the IGP. See: GeneralRequirements - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

PS: From error log: "2010-07-27 14:50:00.546875 [ERROR][MPMain(1)]: TvPlugin and TvServer don't have the same version."

Hey Spragleknas, increasing the memory did the trick: navigation & cpu usage is now at a normal level.

Concerning those different versions: I have reinstalled 1.1 after giving 1.0.2 a try because I thought that it might had something to do with the new version of mp - of course it was the same.
But doing so, I uninstalled completely so the client should be the latest version. For the server, that was upgraded from RC6 to 1.1 and in the server it shows version 1.1.0.0 - just as in this client.

Hi sparky (it's easier to think/pronounce your nick if it's sparkleglas or somethiing of that kind and since 'I know you for some time' I'm using a nickname for your nickname - still following? )

You are ABSOLUTELY right about that manual, mea culpa!
One small remark though: even though MP has improved ENORMOUS since I started using it, the information/documentation about it still needs some tweaking. There are different sources for plugins, skins which makes finding something not that consequent.
Don't look at it as an insider - which of course you are as a super moderator - but as a user.

I did not expect that my issue was related to something so simple - even though I know that sometimes things can be very obvious - and of course I didn't check the manual for this.
Since 2006, I have installed MP quite some times now and every time I go over the list of requirements but that minimal memory amount, I did oversee and I also assumed that bios settings were ok.

I'm not saying this to justify my stupidity, just to explain + I was wondering something: over the years, I guess a lot of the same questions have been asked and replied to because of various reasons. Would it not be possible (and even more make your lives much easier) to have some kind of matrix with problems and possible solutions or things to check?

It's just a thought because I would love to see that one of my dearest discoveries (MP) would be a piece of a cake to all it's users because it's really a must-have.
