Synopsis:
I use Mportal for playing mostly Photo Slideshows and Video (AVI/MPEG)
I used 0.1.3 and then upgraded to 0.2. Video used to work OK (I had 512 MB at that time). But starting some time ago (can't remember for sure) I start having troubles with video playback. the image froze on screen, while the sound works OK. Then the image advance slowly, dropping lots of frames. This can take from few seconds to minutes. I use girder for remore control, but Mportal does not responds to remore ctrl either (the command however is getting into queue, and venetually, Mportal sometimses stops playback.
Sometimes it recover by itself and works OK for another time (5-10-15 min, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer)
I use that PC as server too, and few times ago I installed some software (Oracle Personal 9iR2, AVG free antivirus). However I thought those can slow doen pc so I stopped all oracle services and also uninstalled avg). No improvement. I bought another 512 MB ram, thinkng maybe memory could be the prob. No improvement.
I mention all video are working PERFECT with any other player on that PC (bsplay, media player, RealPlayer), so I think codecs are not the problem (I use ffdshow ver Feb 2 2006)
Can anyone help me? If I can't get this to work, I'm affraid I have to stop using mportal, since I don;t use it for something else (I like playing video with it, because it allow me easily to select movies, download art and info, etc, easy for kids to watch cartoons, watch all photos have, etc). I planned to get a hauppauge 150 MCE tv card, but if it don;t work OK with video ...

Thanks for all your help.

Best egards,
Bogdan
