    Hi,

When I play .avi files recorded with my Canon PowerShot S2 the first video is playing well, but when it finishes the screen is black, but I can move around in the menu - blindly of course. If I then play the video again it is playing fine, but the screen is still black when it ends.

The problem is only with .avi files from my digital camera. Avi encoded movies have no problems.

I hope someone out there can help.

    Regards

    Brian

    Hi,

I don't have the problem anymore. The problem was fixed after a change of codecs and an upgrade og Mediaportal.

But last week I completely reinstalled my HTPC including Windows and Mediaportal. I have not set up any special codecs - I'm running with the standard MPA/MPV codecs and no problems with my .avi files from my camera.

So I will recommend a deinstall/reinstall of Mediaportal or maybe even a reinstall of your entire HTPC.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards

    Brian
