I have this same problem, along with another similar problem where i get a black screen after media portal resumes from an external program has closed, via "my programs". Would this be caused by the same thing, and fixed by the new svn builds?

Also, since installing an svn build looks like it means having to completely reconfiguring media portal, would there be a work around for this?

Hi,
luke16, you don't have to reconfigure after applying a SVN to MediaPortal 0.2.2.0 (at least not now). Just run MP Setup (configuration) after applying a SVN to check that nothing it's lost & then run MP as normal.

I upgraded to the latest svn (as of yesterday), and the glitch that happens when going back to MP from an external program is still present. Only not so much a black screen, but just the last picture shown from the program before it was closed. MP is still apparently responsive after this happens, with the clicking of menu selection still being heard when up/down keys are pressed, just not the video.

I'm seeing the same thing. I have noticed that on one machine it happens whether I'm in a window or fullscreen, whereas on a newer machine it works when in a window but not when mp is fullscreen.

Did you ever figure this out?

I am running into this issue as well (blank screen after hibernation and after exiting My Programs), and have been ever since the upgrade from version 0.2.1. I've tried both stable 0.2.2 and the latest SVN (as of 2007-Mar-29), with no luck. I've also tried enabling and disabling exclusive DirectX mode; this also didn't help.

Any help would seriously be appreciated -- I'm running out of ideas here!
