Hi,

the title says it all :)

When I watch recorded TV files as an administrator, everything is fine. When I watch the same file as a normal user, I have a black screen and only audio.

Can you clarify this? Thanks a lot.
Tobias

Done! I really hope this helps. I couldn't find anything in the logs giving me a hint...
    Thank you!

Sorry, I've been away from home on business. Just got back late last night. Will look at the logs as soon as I get a chance.

Does the user account only have problems playing recordings, or does it also have problems with live TV, videos etc.?

    Something is a little odd.
    Dxdiag is saying:
    Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)
    Monitor Name: Generic PnP Monitor
    Monitor Model: SAMSUNG
    Monitor Id: SAM067C
    Native Mode: 1920 x 1080(p) (60.000Hz)
    Output Type: HDMI

    MediaPortal is detecting:
    [2013-11-11 21:47:12,391] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Main: WM_GETMINMAXINFO Start (MaxSize: 1552x880 - MaxPostion: -8,-8 - MinTrackSize: 178x47 - MaxTrackSize: 1548x876)

    Also, your recording is:
    [2013-11-11 21:49:44,642] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: FrameRate : 50
    [2013-11-11 21:49:44,642] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: Width : 1280
    [2013-11-11 21:49:44,642] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: Height : 720

You're using refresh rate changer... so do you see the refresh rate change on the TV?

    Hi,

yes, something happens. It goes fine fo the admin and wrong for the normal user. The dxdiag information is correct...

    Thank you!

So can we do something else to solve the problem? I'm ready whenever you are... :)

My feeling is this is HDMI and/or GPU configuration related. I'm no expert on this stuff. I suggest you have a dig in the Catalyst Control centre. It is possible that ATI has per-user settings. Beyond that... I'm sorry, I don't know what to suggest.
