Hi there

This behaviour happens on smp & the default blue skins, I don't have any others installed. I've tried that many different configurations I haven't got a clue what I started with now!!!
They're probably set to that through me trying to problem solve and find a solution.

I will reset to VMR7 & audio renderer to default. As suggested, If that fails I will disable IFC plugin. Only problem with that though is even when I have video zoom mode set with all zoom modes unchecked and default mode set to stretched, movies are still displayed with black bands top and bottom. I suppose this is let of a pain than no picture!!!

eetaylog - my os hdd is not partitioned but I have a 2tb external hard drive I could use. When you say 'back up the files' do you just mean copy the program filesx86 & program data folders and paste them into the new install? Sorry if I sound retarded but I'm clueless with stuff like this.

I mean take a copy of both your MediaPortal and Tvserver folders form the following address...

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal

...and back them up somewhere (on your 2Tb drive if thats seperate from your OS drive). When youve reinstalled MP copy them back over to the same address and you wont lose all your databases/thumbs/tv information etc.

Yes, do this. As i said, OS reinstallation is a bit over the top, only do it as a last resort.

Install SAF6.
Try to play your video in graphstudio (START - SAF - Tools - Graphstudio) - does it play OK?

If yes, run MePo in debug mode and post new LOGs.

Runs fine in graphstudio, I'm running in debug mode but no logs are generated.......I'm guessing this is because the file is actually playing (but with no picture). I have attached the last log I did receive, it's so frustrating as it will work around 50% of the time.

Then it looks like your old GPU is not compatible with MePo.

If your file play correctly in Graphstudio but not in MePo = MePo issue. I already saw that with old GPUs.
