Hello

Maybe I`m making a fool of me, but I would like to use my old Laptop as Mediaportal... more ore less only to stream Shoutcast and play some mp3 Files... without TV. I installed MediaPortal without the TV support, I made no changes to the configuration exept of adding one empty folder as Movies Folder. I tried to switch the skin from Blue Two to Blue Two wide and back.

My problem:
Every time I start mediaportal, I get a black screen right from the beginning... I can hoover the mouse around, but cant click anywhere. The app closes with alt+F4.

What I tried / checked:
- .NET 2.0 is installed
- DirectX 9 is installed. I ran dxdiag, dx9 seams to work. (log attached).
- I tried to install V0.2.3.0, same problem....

Is this notebook simply to old:confused:? :D

Regards,
Raphael

DX9 capable graphics are usually the downfall of most laptops, and the chances of this being powerful enough are pretty remote due to being of a age where graphics where pretty low priority, even with ati mobile graphics.

    :sorry:
