This happens seemingly randomly, but more often than not (80% of the time?)... there was a stretch of 2 or 3 days where it didn't happen at all
i have diabled MP's idle timer, and instead set windows to turn off the monitor (TV in my case) after 2 minutes... so after 2 minutes, my TV will display "NO SIGNAL" and then automatically turn off. computer does not enter standby or hibernate... only the monitor has been turned off..
when i come back later to use MP, i turn on the TV and "wake" the computer by pressing a button on the remote. The TV is getting a signal (since the TV does not show "NO SIGNAL") but it is just a black screen... i can hear sounds from MP, but still just a black screen... i've tried to reproduce the problem consistently by waiting until the signal cuts out, turning the
TV off, then on and waking up the system, but it doesn't work.... seems like you have to wait an hour or so for the problem to happen....
