SEE UPDATE 2:
I recently switched from Svideo to DVI-HDMI connection to a new 1080P television. Everything was working great and all of a sudden out of no where when I try to watch any movie or DVD I can now only watch it in the original format setting which only gives me a small box, if I go to stretch or normal I get a blank screen but still have sound. Out of MP everything works normally. Nothing has been installed, unistalled, upgraded added, removed all I did was switch the way my HTPC connects to my TV which worked for a couple weeks.
Any ideas?
Update:
I found that if I don't start MP in fullscreen, then change it to full screen it all works fine but as soon as I change it back to start in fullscreen restart MP I have the same issue. I found old posts that talked about needing unistall MP, del the folder and re-install. Is this still the case or was there something figured out for this?
Update 2:
Ok I found a post that suggested to disable VMR9 exclusive mode, I did this and it took care of the problem. SO now my question is why would just changing the way I connect to the TV cause this to stop working?
