    Hi again Ian

Don't use the "pause card" option (here - "when card enters idle state..."). If that doesn't help, *please* try to reproduce without M***I as requested.

I had already tried STOP v PAUSE and it made no difference. I suspected it wouldn't as I have had a Hauppauge card from day 1 and thus have had to use PAUSE from then also. However, I am now playing with CARD PRELOAD which is something I had turned on only since going to 1.2RC.

I will get around to M***I next day or so if this latest fails.

    Ian.

    Fixed.

Hauppage card (NOVA-HD-S2) owners do NOT select CARD PRELOAD.

... or make sure you increase the delay before TV Server detects tuners to give the tuner driver enough time to do its thing - there is a warning in the wiki. ;)
    Thanks for reporting back.

If you mean the "Delay in seconds before the TVServer detects cards" under GENERAL..........I had tried 15 seconds but it made no difference. All that seems to do is delay the startup of MP to give the drivers time to initialize......from then it does nothing from what I can see.

Unless there is a settings somewhere which allows a configurable delay to be applied everytime you change channel.

All that preloading does is initialise the tuner as soon as TV Server starts - there is no effect after that. If the problem is truly with preloading then that delay option should help - of course you have to restart TV Server for any changes to the setting to take effect. If the delay doesn't help then I would suspect the problem may come back. There is no setting for a configurable channel change delay but to be honest I don't quite see how that would help.

Well thats wierd then..........I've stopped and started, left alone, rebooted, played MP3's and everytime I go back to TV the video is fine.......and the only thing I changed was the PRELOAD................Could be a fluke, so I guess I'll see.

I'll let the wife play with it.....she breaks everything!

    Hi,

    Update:

Well, the wife managed to get a couple more blank screens......so I figured I'd look at TSreader and found Owlsroost's thread here and have been running his modified TSreader.ax for about a week continious and which seems to have fixed the problem.

    Ian.
