Hi,

I recently upgraded my HDD to a Corsair F40GB2 in my HTPC.

After reinstalling XP SP3 and Mediaportal 1.2 I now have the problem that when ever I stop watching a video/TV the screen blanks for 5-8 seconds before returning back to the menu.

This only seems to happen when MP is in full screen mode. If I have it in Windows mode then the menus appear straight away after stopping video playback.

I'm not sure where to start investigating the problem. The only other difference (that I can think of) is that on the Old HDD I had KLite codec pack installed and on my new SSD I only installed SAF 4.0.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Adam

I had an issue with the screen going blank after stopping a video, it was related to windows power settings. Make sure that the option to turn off your monitor is set to 'never'

Thanks for the tip.

I have changed the setting and will test it over the next few days and report back.

Cheers

Have you got the Refreshratechanger enabled?

I assume the blanking occures at this time, judging from your logs:

    Code:
    2011-02-07 10:54:52.906250 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: VMR9: Repainting -> Playing, Frames: 54
    2011-02-07 10:54:57.656250 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: Main: Stopping media

In your logs I can also see that you are using the Gabest MPEG2-decoder. Don't do that ;)

    Code:
2011-02-07 10:54:52.640625 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: Added filter: MPC - MPEG-2 Video Decoder (Gabest) to graph
2011-02-07 10:54:52.640625 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: Added filter: MPC - MPA Decoder Filter to graph

Well after a couple of weeks of using the system the above suggestion appears to have fixed that problem. :D loutheo

Now onto the next issue, I think I've entered that place known as codec hell :( but that's a new post........
