Hi,
I am using Power Scheduler to start my media PC for recording. It works fine, but when I turn on the TV while recording (after PC woke up via Power Scheduler) it stays blank until I press a key on the keyboard or move the mouse.
When I press a key on my remote control it stays blank. I use iMon with for the remote control.
In the MediaPortal I have turned on the checkbox for "... turn on tv on resume...".
If I use PVRScheduler the TV does not stay blank.

Is there another way that I can overcome this problem?

This is normal, turning on your tv when recording is useless (power consumption,..).

But if you don't want that, you can check "apply workaround to fix mediaportal freezing on resume on some systems" in mp config.

Thanks for the hint.
Unfortunately it didn't work. I still need to move the mouse (if connected) or press a key on the keyboard.
Is there another workaround I could try?
I want to stay with internal PowerScheduler as startup is faster.

I still don't have a workaround for that.
Does anyone have an idea?
I heard from friends of mine that they have the same problem.

I have the same issue (black, blank Screen until key stroke) when i wake up the media pc via Magic Packet on Ethernetcard (Wake on Lan).

This seams to be a Windows issue? Win XP. Any other hints?

A friend of mine said that on his system it does not happen always but very often.
I checked now MP1.2.0alpha and from a first shot it looked like that the screen does not stay black.
Didn't have other issues with this alpha version so far.

AW: Re: Blank screen turning on TV while PC resumed via PowerScheduler

I found a autohotkey script that does the job. It resides in the systemtray.

UltraVNC :: View topic - Blank Screen after Wake on LAN from S3 mode (Post Nr 20 - Scrol down)

You will find also a few comments why and how to avoid the black screen.

    Fixed it for me.

    great!!
Looks like the answer. I will give it a try.
By the way, I switched back to MP 1.1.1 as I had several issues comming up with MP 1.2.0alpha.
