These are my first attempts with my blaster. It's the one I got with my Hauppauge PVR-150.

I'm trying to set the system up so a button in my MCE remote will turn the TV on and off. This isn't working for me. Here's what I've been doing:
The IRServer configuration detects an MCE remote with Receive and Transmit capabilities.
When I go to the application "Translator", I go to IR commands, I select New, I name it "TvOn" and I go to Learn. The system waits for a button press, so I use the original TV remote and press the ON button. The MCE's remote's red light goes on and the program accepts the button press. At this point, if I press "Test", nothing happens. If I go to "program" and map the red button in the MCE remote to launch TvOn, nothing happens. The MCE's receiver's red light is on, but the blaster's red light does not turn on. Is it supposed to? It's IR, so I guess not. The blaster's "eye" is of course very close to the TV, where a blast should work. Anyway, this is the log:

Now, when I try to program the same button to do something else, like launch MediaPortal, then it works. So it's not a problem with the MCE remote, it's some issue with the blaster.
UPDATE: I realized I could see the IR signal through the lens of my camera. I can see IR coming out of the remote, but IR is not coming out of the blaster even though the program reports "Blast Successful". Any ideas?
