The receiver is a USB receiver plugged into the motherboard. The blaster came with the receiver but there are only 2 ports that fit the 1/8 blaster jack. The Colossus card and the HVR-1600. I have always had the blaster plugged into the 1/8 IR jack on the Colossus card. There are two ports on the back of the receiver but they are 1/4 inch ports for what I assume were secondary receivers because the Rosewill kit cam with another receiver.</blockquote>
