Hi.

When I import a blu ray disk the file Moving Pictures refers to in it's database automatically is the index.bdmv. However when playing back this file jumping between chapters does not work.

If I copy the blu ray to HD and import the movie, Moving Pictures offers the index.bdmv and also the 0000.mpls file for the movie. If I choose the *.mpls file jumping between chapters is possible.

Is this the intended behavour?

If so is there a way to associate the 0000.mpls file with the movie. This is only offered for a blue ray copied to HD and not a true blu ray disk.

Thanks.

grubi.

AW: blue ray playback and chapters.

Did not get an answer so I will give it another try.

I'm also using the "Bluray Handler 0.9.7" plugin which supports chapter navigation quite well when used with MP's PlayDisk. When a blu ray is played back via Moving Pictures is this plugin used or does it use it's own playback code?
Maybe this is the reason why chapter navigation does not work from within Moving Pictures whereas it works when
starting playback directly from MP.

Thanks.
Cheers.

Mov-pic cannot play Bluray, either you need bluray handler or one of the other plugins/addons available. (it only links mediaportal to the mediafile)

Perhaps it depends on how you added the movie in movingpictures. Did you add the mt2s file or the index file describes in bd handler thread? I think the latest one should be working... perhaps it requires Mediaportal 1.2beta as something is changed or updated codecs. I'm not sure here

AW: blue ray playback and chapters.

I found the reason.
The mpeg splitter included in latest SAF breaks bluray playback.
Backrev to an older version and now it seems to work.

Cheers.
