Hi,
I changed the 'fonts.xml' from

Code:
  <font>
    <start>0</start>
    <end>1536</end>
    <name>font48</name>
    <filename>Franklin Gothic Medium</filename>
    <height>48</height>
  </font>

to

Code:
  <font>
    <start>0</start>
    <end>1536</end>
    <name>font48</name>
    <filename>Franklin Gothic Medium</filename>
    <height>44</height>
  </font>

and cleared the cache. MP still crashes on every start.

I attached the corresponding error.log.

Regards,
moh

Thanks Moh, exact same error as Dadeo has reported yeah.

This has (I think) something to do with the MP engine not properly resizing large fonts in some cases. Only way to get it running is reducing the fontsize even more I guess.

What's your screen resolution? And do you also switch from one screen for first start to the other on second start like Dadeo?

--------------

Easiest way of checking the fonts are the cause of crashing is copy pasting fonts.xml from blue3 skin folder to blue3++.
It will kinda beat up the readability part of this skin though.

p.s.
Don't be shy to put anything in the issue tracker! You could comment on the issue too of course with some helpful details

    Moh, since your desktop is different than your HTPC, I assume the system specs you have listed undert My System are for the HTPC. Is your desktop running XP SP3 as well or Vista? I have no trouble running in XP SP2 or SP3 under MP 0.2.3 or 1.0. I only have the problem in Vista Sp1. I also have no trouble running on my TV at smaller resolutions (up to 1024x786).

    Your screen size is the same as mine. Detailed specs of your desktop system might be helpful and the results of any tests your do. If you could report them in the issue tracker on google code (see link in first post)

    Thanks for helping, it's been driving me crazy trying to figure this out.

    Moh, can you check the Cache for Blue3++ RIGHT AFTER THE CRASH and see what fonts have been created? Another trick I have tried is just deleting font48 from the cache so MP does not have to do as much work. Also be sure to list how much RAM you have in your system specs for your desktop. Thx

    0.2 (next release) will be here real soon, I hope this weekend or maybe even tonight / tomorrow.

    However it will be launched under a new name; aMPed. For this release we will start a new thread. So Blue3++ 0.2 will actually be launched as aMPed 1.0
