Bluescreens and MP crashes with new SSD (1 Viewer)

    Ok, nstalled Win7 64 gain Afterwards installed most actual directx9 drivers. AThe I installed Ati catalyst 12.4nd it is again installed as version 09.7. Google told me here:

    that I'm not alone with this issue and how to resolve it (sorry, German thread,; post 13 gives the hints). So I reinstalled 12.4 with the described modifications of the config file => without success. Next I tried to install 12.3 => 3x BSOD during the hardware detection Afterwards I deinstalled 12.4 and then freshly installed 12.3 => again BSOD during the ardware detection process.

    The good news is that the error message is always the same. The bad newsis that I still don't know what to to...

    Which drivers have you tried for your SSD? Have you only tried the Intel Driver? If so try to change the ahci driver to the standard microsoft ahci driver.
    I have got an ATI chipset and the original ATI ahci driver doesnt work well for me and i know that some intel chipsets and intel ahci drivers got problems with some ssd`s.

    legnod: Installed the MS driver, but no change.

    @Skythe42: Installed the latest chipset drivers and reinstalled catalyst 12.3 => BSOD; deinstalled 12.1 and reinstalled 12.3 => BSOD; try to install 12.1 again => BSOD. Afterwards I reinstalled Win7 again, installed the latest chipset and LAN drivers from Intel and afterwards tried to installe 12.1, and 12.3 => BSOD. Error message is always the one mentioned above. This f....in ati drivers drive me crazy...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Uninstall any ATI drivers on your system.
    2. Run the CCC installer but I suggest canceling after it extracts the files.
    3. Navigate to: C:\ATI\Support\10-x_vista64_wi n7_64_dd_ccc_enu\Config
    4. EDIT InstallManager.cfg
    5. Change WorkaroundInstall=false to WorkaroundInstall=true
    6. Run Setup.exe and the CCC should install without a problem

    Again somebody had problems with ati catalyst and dell optiplex!!

    With this instructions I managed to install 12.1 catalyst. And that's what I will use now. I will not try to update to 12.4. Will continue my installation now.

    Looks good!! Installation is finished and yesterday evening and the morning today I had no issue with the client.

    Thanks to everybody for the technically and morally support :)

    Will continue with updating the server from WHS2003 to 2011...
