Have you updated "My system" to your current specs? If so maybe win xp is the issue here?

Well I do need an excuse to move to Windows 7 :)

I don't think hardware or OS is to blame though, as I can quite happily play blu-ray files through MPC-HC, just double click the index.bdmv and they start playing very quickly. Also its only on certain Blu-Rays.

Oh well.. i'll look back into this in a few months!

All people with BLACK screen and sound only. This is fixed in MediaPortal 1.2beta or perhaps alpha as suggested earlier and updated Bluray Handler to use the new splitter version handling. And using latest default SAF5.

Working as nicely if not better as before.

    :)

AW: Re: Bluray Handler 0.9.7 (BETA)

After weeks of trying to get 'any'version to work I though it was worth a shot LOL.

None of the saff 5.0 drivers have worked, they mess up dvd navigation (get black screens playing chapters) etc.

The whole thing is a bit of a hash, but still better than anything I got to work under Linux solutions. I don't use the main TV features, it was a media centre for music photo's and movies. If they sort it properly in V2 I will more than happily make a decent contribution, but only when it is more like a commercial product and I don't have to spend weeks getting basic stuff to work !

You have to select the correct codec for DVD palyback.
    Which one did you choose?
If you use Cyberlink you have to choose the /SP version.
The other one breaks DVD navigation.

    Cheers.

Ohh, well... i tried .29 version of bd handler and only thing i got was a lousy black screen... Im not sure which mp version it was, because i compile MP 1.2beta every day... Could have been a few weeks ago. So its not perfect.. :)
