Out of interest - why is ffdshow needed? Is it for splitters? or is it for playing the video?

Currently I can play Blu-Ray fine with Win 7 codecs, and dont want to install ffdshow if i dont have to

thanks a lot for your efforts! I'm having the same problem with the plugin dll as BigDoom. As soon as I copy your BDHandler.dll into my plugins\process directory and open MP-Config, no plugins are dispayed anymore on the plugins-page. The error-log shows:

for a dummy like me:

take BDHandler.dll and copy it to:
Team MediaPortal ---->MediaPortal ---> Plugins ---> process

next:

run install_audio.bat
run install_spliter.bat

and thats it?
or do i have also register them in anyway?

Yes run like said only .bat is necessary, but to be sure also run before uninstall_audio.bat and uninstall_splitter.bat (if previous version was register) and then install_audio.bat and install_spliter.bat

BTW, why is bluray handler still needed? LAVF splitter should do all the work by itself.
