My configuration of MP works well (scheduled recordings, remote control, standby) except the reproduction of the videos. :(

Every time that I start MP the first video is correctly played, the SECOND produces a BSOD error to the start.

The error occurs even if I reproduce a video, I put the PC in standby S3, I take back and I reproduce a second video: BSOD guaranteed !

I always have to restart the PC to see a second video.

I have already tried to use MP without card TV, without any plugins, with preceding versions of driver video, in normal release or MCE certified: any improvement.

    Other suggestions?

    Regards,
    xavier.

Try to use BlueTwo skin & another codec for Video/Audio (Mpeg2Dec Filter & MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder) to see if that helps

With MPEG2Dec the problem seems disappeared. The quality video seems good, even if I have not made complete test.

Does someone know how to explain me the differences between MPEG2Dec and PureVideo?

All world say that PureVideo is the best decoder fon nVidia cards, then because the team MediaPortal has developed MPEG2Dec ? :|

    Regards,
    xavier.

If you are getting BSODs with Nvidia's MPEg2 decoder and software based MPEG2Dec is working I would say that there is something wrong with your video card or it's drivers.

Everything, thanks to ronilse and tourettes for your suggestions.

I have found the solution: the problem was in the audio, not in the video.

The decoder of nVidia supports (nVidia declares on site) only Creative and nVidia audio cards.

In my PC exist a compatible sound card on board that evidently doesn't offer a satisfactory emulation.

Now in "Movie Player" -> "Settings" I have selected:

    Video codec: nVidia Video Decoder
    Audio codec: MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder

    and now my HTPC is rock-solid! :D :D :D

    Regards,
    xavier.
